The City of Irving Celebrates the Conflans Road Extension Project
The City of Irving has a new reason to celebrate — the official ribbon cutting of the Conflans Road Extension Project. This massive infrastructure upgrade will enhance mobility and accessibility across the city’s west side. I am proud to share that Precision Road Services (PRS) was selected as a trusted subcontractor by Zachry Construction Corporation. This company is known for its professionalism, employee-first culture, and commitment to excellence.
Project Overview
This $43 million public works project includes city and federal funding. It extends Conflans Road from SH 161 to Valley View Lane. This extension bridges a vital east-west gap. It delivers lasting improvements for commuters, cyclists, and pedestrians alike.
Project Highlights
1,607-foot bridge over the Bear Creek floodplain
4-lane divided roadway with modern infrastructure
12-foot-wide shared-use path for pedestrians and cyclists
Major drainage, water, wastewater, and storm sewer improvements
High-voltage lines raised by 40 feet to accommodate new construction
PRS Contributions
As part of the civil scope, PRS proudly handled the following installations:
Sidewalks and shared-use path surfaces
Curbs and gutters
Curb ramps and ADA-compliant transitions
Rip rap stabilization
Mow strip rail foundation work
